Ok, now I know teachers are always wanting you to 'learn stuff' but if you read this page and are not affected, I will give you a million dollars...when I'm a millionaire...which, as a teacher, should be soon right?

Take a close look at the picture above. This (now Pulitzer prize winning) picture is from Kent State in Ohio on May 4, 1970 immediately after the infamous Kent State 'Massacre". If you've never heard about this very famous American incident, it's time you did. In a mere 13 seconds four college students were shot dead by the National Guard during an anti-war protest. To this day, nobody has taken responsibility for their deaths and the incident would forever remind the American public how important it is to pay attention.

The story goes...that very night David Crosby, Neil Young, Graham Nash, and Stephen Stills got together and wrote the lyrics to one of our nations most tragic mistakes. Learn more about this event here: Kent State Video Clip
